Barone appeared as Gail Cunningham (a chef) in The Shoes of Seinfeld, the fourth season episode. Barone was looking for Elaine Benes' shoes. Barone was a cast member of Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 1990s. Barone had also played Carol Willick Ross Geller's husband in Friends her first appearance. Jane Sibbett took over her role after Barone quit the show to pursue working full-time. She appeared on The Jeff Foxworthy Show in the first season (from 1995 to 1996), and then on The War at Home between 2005 until 2007. Barone was also a co-star in Daddio.
